DIY: Protein Shake!
A Protein shake is a yummy meal substitution when you’re on the go, and it’s even a good snack, but if you know anything about protein shakes, you know they can get expensive.
So how do you still enjoy a yummy shake full of protein, but on a budget?
The answer is simple. Make your own!
How about a Banana Bread shake!? It’s yummy and can be made is less than 5 minutes.
Banana Bread Protein Shake
3/4 cup almond milk
2 tablespoons almond butter
1/4 cup raw cashews (soaked overnight)
1 medium banana (cut into chunks and frozen)
2 tablespoons whole oats
1 tablespoon ground flax seed
1 pitted dried date
a sprinkle of cinnamon
Combine all ingredients in a blender, then process until smooth. Top with an extra sprinkle of cinnamon for serving.
